Practical Life

Children have moved up to Primary! They are now the youngest in the class and have so many opportunities to learn from the older children. They will gladly be led by the older children and eagerly look forward to do the more advanced work they are observing around them. The Practical Life area is where they will spend the majority of their time, as we continue to help them develop independence and help them learn to control their hands. This area of the classroom also help children develop gross motor skills (imagine what’s needed to carry a bucket full of water and carry it across the classroom to the table you are cleaning), which is much needed as they prepare their bodies for the more difficult learning to come in the future.
